Gatte&Gatte describes two young men who physically present themselves in front of the camera, but also the questioning of the intention behind it. You can see bodies that use different means of expression; physicality as an expression of power relationships. The animal, which has its origin in nature, describes an aesthetic of the rough and dangerous in contrast to a positive society, which presents itself as smooth, narcissistic self-love and vanity; the longing for the perfect body.
The struggle with the same gender and the code of conduct for gender roles is a struggle for belief overvalues, norms and characteristics. Identity is a matter of self-definition, self-expression and attribution. Here, the young men use means of expression of female attributes and eroticism, which distances the image from oneself. An ideal of masculinity is questioned here.
